Karl Normann (Noemann) 2023
Karl Normann was a distinguished Prussian officer who became one of the earliest and most committed Philhellenes to join the Greek War of Independence. Arriving in Greece in the early 1820s, he offered his military expertise to the revolutionary forces and played a key role in organizing and training volunteer units. His dedication to the Greek cause, despite the hardships of war, made him a respected figure among both Greek fighters and fellow European supporters.
Charles Fabvier
Charles Nicolas Fabvier was a celebrated French officer and one of the most influential Philhellenes of the Greek Revolution. Known for his strategic brilliance and disciplined leadership, he helped modernize the Greek regular army and led several crucial military operations. Fabvier’s unwavering commitment to Greek independence, combined with his diplomatic influence in Europe, secured him a lasting place in the history of modern Greece.
